CONEY ISLAND - While construction crews continue to work on Coney Island’s first YMCA, Y officials announced that they are creating a time capsule to be opened in decades.

Representatives from the YMCA say ideas for what should go into the time capsule have been flooding in.

Some ideas included tickets for amusement park rides, parts of the boardwalk and rollercoaster and, of course, a Nathan’s hot dog.

Representatives will continue to take suggestions over the coming months. The YMCA is expected to open by the end of the year.
