'Coney Recovers' helps spread word on relief

BROOKLYN - The Alliance for Coney Island has launched a new initiative to help the hard-hit seaside neighborhood recover from Hurricane Sandy.

The Coney Recovers program is spreading information on how people can donate and volunteer in the recovery efforts.

Much of the area suffered extensive flooding damage, and remains without heat and electricity.
