BROOKLYN - Drivers in Brooklyn are being warned to expect traffic delays as construction resumes on the Williamsburg Bridge.

The Department of Transportation (DOT) is closing all Brooklyn-bound lanes on the south inner roadway for deck repair work from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. All Manhattan-bound lanes will also be shut down overnight from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m.

The closures will be in effect Monday through Friday until September.

Pedestrians and cyclists taking the bridge will not be affected.
