Construction to tie up weekend traveling

BROOKLYN - Planned construction projects could tie up your weekend travel plans.

The Brooklyn Bridge will be closed during the overnight hours heading into Manhattan. Drivers should stick with the Manhattan or Williamsburg bridges instead.

The Queens-bound tube of the Queens-Midtown Tunnel will be closed from 2 a.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. morning. The other tube will accommodate two-way traffic, but heavy delays are expected.

Bridge Street will also be closed between Fulton and Willoughby streets from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

Straphangers should anticipate track work affecting the Inwood-bound A train. The Smith-9th Street station will be shut down for repairs on the F and G lines, along with the Knickerbocker Avenue station on the M line.
