BROOKLYN - A "cool" donation is helping a Brooklyn soup kitchen feed thousands of people struggling with hunger.

The Masbia network in Midwood received a new walk-in freezer and refrigerator Monday from the Metropolitan Council, the Jewish Communal Fund and the United Jewish Appeal.

Masbia volunteers say they will finally be able to take advantage of donations that require storage and will ultimately be able to increase the number of meals they serve.
