Cops: 4 volunteer Shomrim officers shot in Borough Park

BOROUGH PARK - Four volunteer Shomrim patrols were the victims of a shooting tonight in Borough Park.

Officials say the volunteer Jewish officers were chasing a man who had allegedly exposed himself in the neighborhood. They say the men had cornered the suspect when he opened fire, spraying all four volunteer officers with bullets.

The suspect has been arrested and the weapon was recovered. The victims were taken to area hospitals and are expected to survive.
