Cops: Latest sex assault not connected to others in BK

BROOKLYN - Police say they're investigating another sexual assault in Sunset Park, but they don't believe it's connected to a dozen others in the borough.

Officials say the latest incident took place on 44th Street and 5th Avenue at around 8 p.m. last night. They say a Hispanic male in his 20s groped a Hispanic female who was wearing jeans.

Police Commissioner Ray Kelly says that there has been an increase in uniformed officers in the area and that officers are continually canvassing the area.

Cops are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
