Cops seek suspects in separate weekend shootings

Police are looking for suspects involved in two separate weekend shootings in Brooklyn. Police say one man was wounded and another was killed on Sunday.

BROOKLYN - Police are looking for suspects involved in two separate weekend shootings in Brooklyn.

Authorities say gunfire interrupted a sermon at Living Water Christian Center on Belmont and Thatford avenues Sunday morning when a young man was shot in the leg. He was taken to Brookdale Hospital and is expected to be OK.

In another shooting on Bergen Street in Crown Heights, 25-year-old Damien Powell was hit in the stomach. He was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital.
