BROOKLYN - A viewer tells News 12 that corn is growing in a drain along the Gowanus Expressway in Sunset Park.

News 12's Paula Vasan went to investigate and did find what looked like corn to be growing, but officials say they could not definitively identify the plant. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden says that none of its experts saw the plant in person, so they could not make an official call.

But the video may speak for itself.

"Maybe it fell off a truck," speculates resident Nate Garner.

"Someone definitely planted that over there," argues Randi Rubins, a neighbor. "Definitely just put it there for fun."
