PARK SLOPE - A Brooklyn official is proposing legislation that may give drivers a break at the Muni-Meter.

Councilman David Greenfield is hoping the City Council will allow drivers to pre-pay at Muni-Meters. Currently, drivers can only pay for muni-meters during enforcement times.

Greenfield says allowing drivers to pre-pay up to 30 minutes before enforcement would save them the hassle of piled up parking tickets.

Greenfield introduced the pre-pay proposal in City Council last week, and so far he says he has nearly a dozen members on his side.
