BROOKLYN - One local politician is celebrating powerful women in Brooklyn as part of Women's History Month this March.

Councilwoman Sarah Gonzalez held an event Tuesday night to pay tribute to just some of the most influential women in the borough.

Gonzalez said that not only is all of Brooklyn filled with strong, brilliant women, but many of them are right in her own 38th District.
