BROOKLYN - Hundreds of thousands of revelers celebrated the West Indian Day Parade on Monday.

Music, dancing and food were all parts of the celebration of the culture.

"You love your people and just because you move to a new place, that doesn't mean you forget who you are and where you come from," said Natalie, a woman at the parade representing Trinidad. She said she believes that the message of the parade was to bring cultures alive.

Arguably the most anticipated part of the parade were the costumes. People were dressed with feathers, vibrant colors and gold and silver.
