BROOKLYN - Ebenezer Wesleyan Methodist Church in Crown Heights held a special service on Sunday to give members of the NYPD hope and inspiration as they do their jobs.

Officers from Brooklyn North and Brooklyn South precincts attended the service.

The pastor says the goal is to bring the church, community and NYPD together, and to show officers support and gratitude for their work.

This is the second year of the prayer service for the NYPD. The church's pastor hopes to make it an annual event.
