CROWN HEIGHTS - Ten women police officers were honored by the Crown Heights community yesterday.

A tea party and award ceremony was held at the Freedom Hall Church of God. Pastor Riley and Evangeline Eleanor Riley, the event's organizers, say they wanted to give their gratitude to women who risk their lives for the sake of the community.

Officer Adeline Thompson, one of the honorees, says she feels very humbled by the award.
