Cuomo beats Pirro in state attorney general's race

Democrat Andrew Cuomo has defeated Republican Jeanine Pirro in the race to succeed Eliot Spitzer as New York's attorney general, according to The Associated Press.

NEW YORK - Democrat Andrew Cuomo has defeated Republican Jeanine Pirro in the race to succeed Eliot Spitzer as New York's attorney general, according to The Associated Press. Cuomo has pledged to go after government corruption and continue Spitzer's work as a crusader against corruption. Election results showed Cuomo easily defeating Pirro.
