Cypress Hills baby suffers from brain damage as police search for parents

CYPRESS HILLS - Police are searching for the parents of a 4-month-old baby that they say was likely the victim of assault.The baby was brought to Jamaica Hospital unconscious on Friday afternoon. Police say he is suffering from brain damage and is unable to breathe on his own. He and his parents lived at 220 Highland Avenue in Cypress Hills. Police say they are actively searching for the parents, who have been missing since the incident began. They say they are uncertain how the baby got to the hospital with the brutal injuries.The baby is currently receiving treatment at Schnider Children?s hospital.
