BROOKLYN - A female firefighter is being featured for the first time ever in the new FDNY calendar.

Danae Mines, of the Bronx, represents the month of March for the 2015 Calendar of Heroes.

The 11-year veteran says representing her borough and the fire department is a great honor.

This year marks the FDNY'S 150th anniversary. The calendar costs $15, and all proceeds go to the FDNY Foundation for Fire Safety and Prevention.
