BROOKLYN - Brooklyn residents living near the Fort Hamilton Parkway in Bay Ridge won?t have to deal with a smelly situation any longer.

The Department of Environmental Protection is stepping in to get rid of the odor. It will be installing underground filters to help curb the smell.

Residents say previous repair work in tunnels created the smelly situation. They hope the filters will make the area more pleasant.
