BROOKLYN - Brooklyn residents are voicing frustration about garbage piling up in their neighborhoods.

With all the recent snow, the Department of Sanitation is getting backlogged trying to pick up trash across the borough.

The Department of Sanitation tweeted Tuesday that crews were out across New York City throughout the day and night collecting backlogged and current trash and recycling. It is asking residents to clear snow from bags and cans and to clear a pathway so that crews can reach them.
