NEW YORK - The Department of Sanitation is out in full force trying to keep up with the latest round of accumulation.

Commissioner John Doherty says everything is being plowed and salted as quickly as possible, with more than 2,400 pieces of equipment currently out on the roadways citywide.

Sanitation crews are also working 12-hour shifts to aid in the storm cleanup efforts.
