BROOKLYN - The city has stepped up to help Sunset Park residents complaining about semi-trucks barreling through their neighborhood.

As News 12 reported earlier this month, people living along 53rd Street said trucks coming off the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway were causing disturbances, even vibrating their homes.

However, that has all changed. A viewer sent in a picture of new signs posted in the area that ban trucks, except for local deliveries.

The viewer said, "Look what your story did for us on 53rd and Third Avenue - in just two weeks - News 12 has once again made our neighborhood a better place."
