An investigation by the Department of Buildings is still ongoing, trying to determine what went wrong after a building collapsed in Brighton Beach last week.

BRIGHTON BEACH - An investigation by the Department of Buildings is still ongoing, trying to determine what went wrong after a building collapsed in Brighton Beach last week.

The building collapse killed a construction worker and injured several others. Two workers had to be pulled from the rubble.

Preliminary investigations, according to the Department of Buildings, show that pouring the concrete from the third to second floors may have caused the building to collapse.
