Dept. of Education announces free summer programs

BROOKLYN - With school letting out for Brooklyn kids, the Department of Education has announced a number of free summer programs for kids.

Beginning tomorrow, kids 18 and younger can get free breakfasts and lunches across 56 locations throughout the city.

Starting July 6, the Public School Athletic League will start a number of free sports programs called the Big Apple Games.

The department says that parents wanting more information about the summer programs should call 311.
