BROOKLYN - The Department of Probation is giving back to the community this week.

On Tuesday, people from the department prepared food at the Masbia Soup Kitchen.

The soup kitchen cooks and serves about 500 meals a day.

Workers will also step out of the office to visit a nursing home and hold a gun violence forum.
