CROWN HEIGHTS - The Department of Transportation held a public forum Wednesday night in Crown Heights, asking residents what they think the biggest safety issues are along Franklin Avenue.

Residents broke up into groups, where they wrote on maps and highlighted problem issues along Franklin Avenue. Problems people highlighted included poor signal coordination, narrow lanes, double parking and a hostile environment for cyclists.

Community boards 8 and 9 also attended and said they gave the DOT ideas about how to make Franklin Avenue safer.
