Detective testifies in radio journalist murder case

BROOKLYN - A jury heard testimony from a detective today in the case of a 16-year-old boy accused of killing radio journalist George Weber.

Officials say John Katehis stabbed the 47-year-old more than 50 times inside Weber's apartment in March 2009. The detective had tested evidence from the crime scene inside Weber's Carrol Gardens home.

The prosecution argues the killing was intentional, while the defense claims Katehis was defending himself.

Both sides are expected to give their closing statements on Monday.
