Disabled woman killed in Prospect Lefferts Gardens fire

A disabled woman was killed Monday after a fire tore through her home in Prospect Lefferts Gardens.

A neighbor says the woman was in her 70s and unable to get out of her home at 203 Fenimore St. on her own.

BROOKLYN - A disabled woman was killed Monday after a fire tore through her home in Prospect Lefferts Gardens.

A neighbor says the woman was in her 70s and unable to get out of her home at 203 Fenimore St. on her own.

More than 100 firefighters arrived at the burning building and fought the blaze for nearly two hours.

Eight firefighters sustained minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
