Five more massage parlors have been shut down around Brooklyn as the result of a second phase of a crackdown by the district attorney’s office

BROOKLYN - Five more massage parlors have been shut down around Brooklyn as the result of a second phase of a crackdown by the district attorney’s office on prostitution rings.

Among those closed was Bright Ocean Spa, just one of 14 alleged prostitution fronts closed in Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights as part of a yearlong investigation.

"We will not tolerate licit operations that exploit women and adversely affect neighborhoods," says Brooklyn DA Charles Hynes.

A total of 12 people are facing charges including sex trafficking and prostitution.
