BROOKLYN - Run-D.M.C. member Darryl "D.M.C." McDaniels stopped by Kingsborough Community College Wednesday to deliver a special message to the students.

McDaniels talked to the students about music and their education. He said it is important for him to talk to young people about education because it greatly contributed to his success.

"I let the kids know that the reason I am the king of all rappers is because my foundation, my artistic creation began with education," McDaniels said.

McDaniels graduated from St. John's University. He is also a best-selling graphic novelist, and his comic book "DMC" is eventually going to be turned into a movie.
