BROOKLYN - A dog has died after flames engulfed a home in Sunset Park.

According to officials, the fire broke out on the second floor of a three-family building at 205 27th St. They say it took firefighters just minutes to extinguish.

Only pets were home at the time. Firefighters say one dog managed to jump through a window to safety, but another passed away despite CPR efforts.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
