BROOKLYN - Police are searching for the gunman who killed a young man in East New York early Sunday morning.

According to investigators, 22-year-old Dominique Garcia was in the passenger seat of a car when he was shot once in the head at New Lots and Van Siclen avenues.

Garcia’s brother had been driving the vehicle with one another person when they got into an argument with a group of pedestrians crossing the street. Cops say that’s when one of the pedestrians pulled out a gun.

Many people say they're surprised the shooting happened where it did because there’s an NYPD mobile command center on the block.
