BROOKLYN - A dog owner is facing animal cruelty charges for allegedly training his pit bull to attack other dogs in Prospect Park.

Police say Donell Barden was teaching his pit to fight, and would hold other dogs down and stab them with an ice pick.

Barden has been charged with aggravated animal cruelty, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.

Authorities are asking any pet owners who may have been attacked by Barden and his dog to contact them.
