BROOKLYN - More than 21,000 door alarms are being installed at city schools as a result of Avonte's Law.

The law is named after Avonte Oquendo. The teen with autism walked out the door of his Queens school in 2013 and was found dead months later.

School officials say all of the alarms will be in place by the end of the year.
