BENSONHURST - Doris Fashions is reopening at its original location one year after being closed down when a fire damaged the building.

The fire caused more than $200,000 worth of damages and destroyed its entire inventory. Doris Fashions has been a well-known store in the Bensonhurst community for more than 70 years and sells wedding dresses, prom dresses and formal wear.

This past year, it continued conducting business a block away while the original location was renovated.

As a thank you to its loyal customers, the store is having a 30-percent off sale on all its dresses.
