BROOKLYN - The Department of Transportation (DOT) has installed a new speedometer on the Eastern Parkway in an attempt to get drivers to slow down.

The agency says motorists will be able to see exactly how fast they're going between Troy and Schenectady avenues. The speed limit on the busy seven-lane road is 30 mph.

Some residents say they think the speedometer will help slow people down, but others think most drivers will just ignore it.
