BROOKLYN - Dozens of community members gathered at the Fort Hamilton Army Base to celebrate Black History Month.

Many different performers were there, from writers reading poems, to dancers dedicating a performance to Muhammad Ali.

Organizers say they also hold an annual Black History Month celebration on the army base that will be open to the public.
