NEW YORK - Federal officials have charged 127 suspected mobsters arrested this morning in one of the largest mafia busts in FBI history.
The FBI says the arrests were made in New York, New Jersey and parts of New England. The charges include murder, extortion and narcotics trafficking, and stem from numerous federal investigations.
Police charged dozens of suspected mobsters in Brooklyn. Those in custody are allegedly part of the Gambino, Colombo, Genovese, Bonanno and Luchese crime families.
