Driver faces charges in fatal Midwood crash

BROOKLYN - A driver is facing charges after a fatal Midwood crash that left one man dead and two others injured. 

The crash happened on Avenue P and East 12th Street around 10 p.m. in Midwood Monday.

Surveillance video shows the man inside the crosswalk moments before he is fatally struck by a car.

Police say the car that struck the man was hit by another vehicle that went through a red light. 

The victim has not yet been identified.

The driver and passenger of the vehicle that was struck suffered minor injuries and were treated at Kings County Hospital.

Meanwhile, police say the driver that caused the crash is facing charges for driving while impaired on drugs.
