BROOKLYN - A driver is in custody for a crash in Brooklyn that critically injured one of the children in his vehicle. 

According to police, a 65-year-old man lost control of his car and slammed into a light pole Sunday morning with three kids inside. 

They say an 11-year-old boy was taken to Kings County Hospital in critical condition. The driver was also taken to the hospital, and the other two kids, ages 5 and 12, are OK. 

Sources say that alcohol may have played a role in the accident.
