Driver, matron accused of leaving boy on bus

EAST FLATBUSH - Police have arrested a bus driver and matron for allegedly leaving a 2-year-old boy alone on a school bus this morning.

Officials say the driver, Roberto Isales, and matron, Ruth Thames, forgot the boy was on the bus, owned by Smart Pick Incorporated.

Police found the child on the bus outside Isales' home in Brighton Beach. He appeared to be crying, but was not injured, according to police.

Both are charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
