BROOKLYN - Drivers in Gowanus brave flooded streets after yesterday's heavy rain.

Water pooled up overnight on 9th Street, between 3rd and 2nd avenues, where several cars are also being forced to take a detour. One taxi attempted to cross, but had to be pushed out by a tractor.

Residents who live in the area say they are used to the problem because 9th Avenue is prone to flooding.
