Drivers: Toyota issues continue after repairs

BROOKLYN - The U.S. Transportation Department is looking into complaints from Toyota owners who claim their repaired gas pedals are continuing to cause problems.

Earlier this year, Toyota issued a recall of more than 8 million vehicles globally for sudden acceleration and braking problems in some models. The National Transportation Safety Board is asking people to come forward if they continue to experience problems after their vehicles have been repaired at a certified dealership.

Representatives from Toyota say they are looking into electronics being a possible cause of the problems. The company is offering repeat buyers two years of free maintenance.
