DUMBO residents complain about eyesores

The DUMBO area of Brooklyn is known as a real estate hot spot, but neighbors say a handful of buildings stick out like a sore

BROONLYN - The DUMBO area of Brooklyn is known as a real estate hot spot, but neighbors say a handful of buildings stick out like a sore thumb.

In April, the Department of Buildings put up a vacate order, saying three waterfront buildings on Old Fulton Street were potentially hazardous.

Residents say they hope the historic buildings will be fixed up and put to good use soon. The Department of Buildings tells News 12 Brooklyn that it's working with the owner to address the issues.
