BROOKLYN - Brooklyn residents united in peaceful protest Saturday, marching and chanting in an effort to end gun violence.

The sixth annual "Not In My Hood" march was organized by a nonprofit called East Flatbush Village Inc.

Community members and elected officials marched from Meyer Levin junior high school to a resource fair, trying to get one important message across to the youth in the community: drop the guns.

The fair featured information on job opportunities and after-school programs.
