BROOKLYN - East New York seniors are taking advantage of a local initiative aimed at saving them money while keeping them looking glamorous.

Chris Banks, head of the East New York United Concerned Citizens, runs a program that allows seniors to get free haircuts and manicure/pedicures at local establishments every other Tuesday.

The program, now in its fifth year, runs until the first Tuesday in September.
