BROOKLYN - Some of Brooklyn's hardest working educators and parents were honored Friday during the Educational Service Awards in Crown Heights.

The event paid tribute to 150 principals, parent coordinators and parent leaders from across the borough.

Organizers say they hope to make the ceremony an annual occurrence.

The event was planned by state Sen. Jesse Hamilton and Assemblyman Walter Mosley.
