Edward R. Murrow High School students to compete for U.S. Chess Federation's national title

After winning the state championship, students at Edward R. Murrow High School will now compete in the United States Chess Federation's National High School Championship. (3/3/14)

BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn High School is getting ready to defend its national title yet again.

After winning the state championship, students at Edward R. Murrow High School will now compete in the United States Chess Federation's National High School Championship.

The team won the national championship last year and are favored to win it again.

Students say hard work, practice and teamwork have led to their success.

The championship starts April 4 in San Diego, Calif.
