BROOKLYN - Police say an elderly woman was rushed to Kings County Hospital in critical but stable condition after a hit-and-run crash today.

The incident happened just before noon at the intersection of Utica Avenue and Eastern Parkway. Police say a driver hit the 65-year-old woman, who was not using the crosswalk, before fleeing the scene.

First responders say she was unconscious and unresponsive when they arrived.

Police are looking for a white Nissan Murano with New Jersey plates.
