BAY RIDGE - An elderly man is recovering in the hospital after he was struck by a vehicle Christmas morning in Bay Ridge in a possible hit-and-run.

Police say at around 9 a.m. yesterday, the 82-year-old victim had just gotten off an MTA bus at the corner of Third and Bay Ridge avenues. As he was walking across the street, police say he was hit. He was taken to Lutheran Medical Center, where he's now recovering.

A nearby store employee tells News 12 Brooklyn he heard it was a hit-and-run, but police have not confirmed that yet.
