BOERUM HILL - An elderly man died Wednesday after he was pinned under a vehicle at a Boerum Hill bodega during a car accident.

According to witnesses, the ambulette tried to swerve around a minivan as it was making a right-hand turn from Atlantic Avenue on Hoyt Street. Instead, they say the ambulette rear-ended the minivan, sending it crashing into the bodega. The victim's friends say he spent time at the bodega reading the paper, drinking coffee and playing scratch-off games with friends. He?s remembered as a kind man.

Police have not made any arrests and continue to investigate the incident.
